LifeAtLahore & Walled City Lahore Host 3rd Annual Interfaith Iftar at Masjid Wazir Khan Chowk – A Celebration of Punjab’s Cultural Harmony & Nation-Building

LAHORE: LifeAtLahore, in collaboration with the Culture Wing of the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA), proudly hosted

the 3rd Annual Interfaith Iftar at the historic Masjid Wazir Khan Chowk. This event reaffirmed a collective commitment to harmony,

inclusion, and nation-building, beautifully aligning with Punjab Culture Day—a celebration of the province’s rich heritage of

coexistence.

For LifeAtLahore, nation-building is not just about infrastructure—it is about hearts, minds, and communities coming

together. This year’s Interfaith Iftar was not just a meal—it was a message. A message that Pakistan belongs to all, and that the

white in our national flag is not just a color, but a commitment to protecting and uplifting religious minorities.

Punjab has long been a land of shared heritage, where diverse communities have lived together in harmony for centuries. This

Interfaith Iftar highlighted the true cultural spirit of Punjab, where Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians have historically

stood together. Aligning with Punjab Culture Day, this event underscored how our traditions, values, and history have always

championed inclusivity.

In a powerful display of solidarity, non-Muslim community members served Iftar to fasting Muslims, exemplifying the spirit of

compassion, respect, and brotherhood that defines Lahore’s cultural identity.

Organized by LifeAtLahore, a project of Digital Development Lab, a cultural and civic engagement platform led by Syed Kashf

Ahmed (ShahofLahore), and supported by the Culture Wing of WCLA, this event has become a hallmark of interfaith harmony,

social cohesion, and national unity in Pakistan.

Kamran Lashari, Director General of the Walled City of Lahore Authority, emphasized the significance of such initiatives, stating:

"Lahore is a city of history, culture, and inclusivity. This Interfaith Iftar reflects our shared heritage, where different faith communities

have lived together in harmony for centuries. Celebrating the white in our flag means embracing diversity, and we are honored to

support this movement."

Syed Kashf Ahmed, Founder & Chairperson of LifeAtLahore, highlighted the deeper purpose behind the initiative: "This is more

than just an Iftar—it is a statement. A statement that Lahore is and will always be a city that welcomes, respects, and protects all its

people. Witnessing our non-Muslim friends serve meals to fasting Muslims is a powerful reaffirmation of the values of

Ramazan—empathy, kindness, and togetherness. LifeAtLahore has always been at the forefront of nation-building, and we will

continue fostering initiatives that strengthen Pakistan’s unity. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Walled City Lahore Authority, especially

its Culture Wing, Allah Walay Trust, our community partners, and every volunteer who contributed to making this event a beacon of

hope and unity."

Held in the breathtaking backdrop of Masjid Wazir Khan Chowk, a site known for its stunning Mughal architecture, the Interfaith

Iftar was attended by diplomats, government officials, community leaders, civil society members, and individuals from

various faiths.

This event served as a powerful reminder that Pakistan’s strength lies in its diversity and that Lahore’s spirit thrives on the

unity of its people. It also highlighted the importance of preserving Lahore’s cultural heritage while fostering an environment of

mutual respect and understanding across different communities.

LifeAtLahore extends its deepest appreciation to the Walled City Lahore Authority (especially its Culture Wing), Allah Walay

Trust, all our partners, and particularly the non-Muslim community members who served meals, for their unwavering

commitment to making the Interfaith Iftar a symbol of peace, inclusion, and solidarity.
